Pay Rate: $180,000–$225,000 per year (based on experience)
Join a leading provider of liquidity services in environmental commodity markets as the Director of Technology & Data . This strategic and hands-on role will lead the evolution of cloud infrastructure, data systems, internal applications, and AI innovation. The ideal candidate blends technical leadership with execution in cloud technologies, data engineering , and IT security , while steering scalable digital infrastructure to support global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development and operation of internal applications in collaboration with third-party vendors.
Build and enhance scalable, cloud-based data platforms , integrating AI/ML to optimize performance.
Create and execute a technology strategy rooted in open-source and cloud-native principles.
Champion AI integration by tracking and implementing emerging trends.
Design, secure, and maintain robust cloud-based IT infrastructure .
Manage a distributed team and oversee experts engaged in building enterprise architecture components.
Required Experience
4-12 years in technology leadership , software development, or data engineering.
Proven experience with cloud-based systems and infrastructure.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering , or a related discipline.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Experience managing third-party vendors or consultants.
Familiarity with enterprise environments in energy, finance, or environmental sectors.
Required Skills
Proficiency in AWS cloud services and architecture.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB (e.g., TigerData).
Strong coding and automation skills in Python .
Background in system design, IT security , and cloud infrastructure management.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to AI/ML systems for data science and business analytics.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools.
Experience with open-source ecosystems supporting data pipelines and analytics.
Additional Skills
Project management and cross-functional leadership in distributed teams.
Strategic thinking with hands-on technical implementation.
