Suns Up Counseling Center provides comprehensive counseling services for individuals aged 5 and older, as well as couples therapy. Our clinicians specialize in areas such as trauma recovery, addictions therapy, eating disorder recovery, marriage and family therapy, and play therapy. We adopt a holistic approach to the healing process, ensuring personalized care for every client. Suns Up Counseling Center offers both in-person and virtual services to clients within Georgia.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) based on-site in Savannah, GA. The counselor will provide therapeutic services to individuals, families, and couples, facilitating their mental health and emotional well-being. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, managing therapy sessions, and maintaining accurate client records aligned with ethical and legal standards. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to the center’s holistic approach to care will be integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in individual therapy and bio-psycho-social assessments.
• Specialization in trauma recovery, eating disorder recovery, or related fields
• Skills in conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Strong documentation, organizational, and record-keeping abilities
• Excellent communication, active listening, and empathy skills
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Current and active LAPC licensure in the state of Georgia
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented setting
• Ability to commute to job site
