Job Description

An Industrials focused Real Estate Private Equity firm in the Washington, DC region is looking to add on at the Managing Director level in the near to medium term. The firm has been around for several decades, holds a strong reputation within the market, and does a great job at retaining employees for the long term. This hire will be a key strategic leadership hire for the firm and have a strong influence on the future direction of the firm. REQUIRMENTS:

  • Extensive experience acquiring and managing industrial and office real estate with an emphasis on single tenant operating company underwriting and evaluation.
  • Senior level experience working for a REIT or private/public investment group.
  • Seasoned in supervising and leading real estate and credit professionals.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Work experience through multiple financial cycles
  • Working with and underwriting leveraged private equity-backed tenant transactions, strategies, and challenges
  • Strong financial and credit analysis background. Accomplished in underwriting investment grade and non-investment grade tenants.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage real estate professionals supporting acquisitions, asset management, and tenant credit exposure and financial performance

  1. Develop and mentor a team of analysts and asset management professionals.
  2. Assist the President in hiring new team members

Responsible for P&L of region.

  1. Develop and execute regional asset strategies to maximize returns to shareholders.
  2. Develop and prepare asset/business plans and projections for internal and external audiences

Acquire Real Estate Investments.

  1. Responsible for sourcing new investments
  2. Responsible for due diligence of new investments
  3. Responsible for financial models and investment memorandum
  4. Responsible for preparation and presentations to the Investment Committee
