7:45-4:00 Monday-Friday

Essential Responsibilities for Teachers:

• Help cultivate and maintain a culture of respect, dignity, and professionalism
• Plan, implement, and monitor the efficacy of the classroom curriculum
• Deliver expected curriculum instruction with fidelity
• Actively monitor students following the staff duty schedule
• Create and implement individual education programs for students assigned to homeroom caseloads, and follow such plans for any student attending core instruction under your guidance.
• Collect, analyze, and report on individual student data
• Keep up-to-date attendance/illness/accident records of children in the class
• Plan, implement, and post a weekly written plan of daily class activities
• Set up and maintain an appropriate classroom environment (this includes ensuring a clean, safe, and organized classroom)
• Provide quarterly written assessments to administration/families on children’s progress
• Provide written guidelines for substitutes within the expected due dates each quarter for the emergency subfolder
• Give guidance, training, and direction to teacher assistants and volunteers
• Help with school-wide presentation and cleanliness (bulletin boards, daily cleaning, organization of materials)
• Attend monthly staff meetings
• Attend community-building events no less than three per year
• Participate in all staff development offered on campus and off as required for essential competencies that ensure a safe environment (CPR/FA, Safety Care, Stop the Bleed, etc.)
• Maintain a fingerprint clearance card.
