About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Business Compliance and Risk Operations. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the development and implementation of the first-line compliance and risk management framework, ensuring that operational teams effectively identify, document, and respond to compliance and risk-related matters in line with the enterprise's risk appetite and regulatory expectations. This role is pivotal in translating policy into practice and requires a leader with strong execution capabilities, deep knowledge of banking operations, and the ability to foster a risk-aware culture across front-line teams. Key responsibilities for the VP include owning the design and maintenance of the risk management framework, conducting risk assessments, and managing risk and compliance initiatives. The role also involves serving as a primary liaison between the business and corporate oversight functions, leading issue management processes, and supporting regulatory examinations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 12 years in banking, risk and compliance, or related fields, and a proven track record in risk management within the financial services sector. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure all activities are in accordance with the company's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
